My view

Welcome to 'Bird's Eye View'!

When I was 18 my father handed me a Nikon and told me to get in the car. We drove through sleepy little Iowa towns and down winding gravel roads. He started me on what will be a life long journey of seeing the world through the lens of my camera.

To me photography is an art. The art of capturing a moment or a natural expression is what I love to do. I will give you direction and then find your personality within that pose.

What I see through my lens is no different than what you see every day - the only difference is I have the ability to stop time and provide you with those memories.

Contact me at katie (dot) reints (at) gmail (dot) com to inquire about a session.

...or find me on facebook!

Project 365: Day 34 sprinkles

Household6Diva FotoFriday

Over at 'and then she snapped' she is asking us to share a tip for her Friday link up, so here is how I shoot my Macro shots. I do not own a macro lens. What I do is shoot with my 35-105 Nikon zoom and I ALWAYS shoot using the largest file size possible. For instance each one of my photos starts out as a 6MB file. That allows me to crop heavily if necessary. So there you have it! Macro shots without a Macro lens!

and then, she {snapped}

Sprinkles make such a fun subject, they're like little gumballs. I like the 3rd shot the best.

LOL! Great minds think alike, eh?! ;) These are wonderful - and such a great tip for getting macro without a lens!

these are fabulous, and I don't have a macro lens either, so I've always shied away from macro shots. Now I'm going to try. Not to mention that the sprinkles are making me hungry!
