My view

Welcome to 'Bird's Eye View'!

When I was 18 my father handed me a Nikon and told me to get in the car. We drove through sleepy little Iowa towns and down winding gravel roads. He started me on what will be a life long journey of seeing the world through the lens of my camera.

To me photography is an art. The art of capturing a moment or a natural expression is what I love to do. I will give you direction and then find your personality within that pose.

What I see through my lens is no different than what you see every day - the only difference is I have the ability to stop time and provide you with those memories.

Contact me at katie (dot) reints (at) gmail (dot) com to inquire about a session.

evening stroll

Summer is so lush and green...

Tonight the smallest flowers peeked my creativity...

Even the weeds are pretty...

I can hardly complain about the heat & humidity when things are this lush!

Weekend Snapshots

I have never seen a sunset like this before! There were two sets of clouds. The lower cloud closer to the horizon was casting a shadow on the clouds higher in the sky.

These are freshly picked apples from a random country apple tree....
When I look at this picture, I can still smell the sweet scent of freshly cut wheat!

Random

I am not sure what my sudden obsession is with insects, other then when I force myself to take pictures in the backyard-- that is what I find!

I have been wanting to capture the back field in all its glory. I think that this photo does it justice.
I took my brother to the DOT today, and happened to have my camera with me. This is the field across the street. Other then corn, this picture pretty much defines Iowa in the summer.
